Side Salad Records was founded in 2001 by two enthusiastic Englishmen living in London town. The original plan was simple: Half the profit and total artistic freedom for all. 

On conception word started circulating about Side Salad and many artists started sending their recordings in for a listen. Shock of shocks, a lot of it was very good indeed. 

Unfortunately Side Salad were only able to focus on a few acts at a time, and with only so many hours in the day Side Salad started passing on the most commercially promising acts to major labels, for them to spend their greasy money on. This has proved remarkably successful for all involved and just goes to show how useful a good pair of ears can be. 

Side Salad is an ongoing project for our two founders and they are always interested in hearing new music.
